Typenex® Medical can support the processes your facility uses to help ensure patient safety and comfort. Discover how products like Typesafe® and Smearsafe™ make identifying, cross-matching, and dispensing of blood and blood products quick and convenient.
The CheckDigit® Blood Band is designed specifically to work with the Cerner Bridge
Transfusion Administration system. The CheckDigit blood band captures and protects patient information
through a special barcode embedded with additional digits. This requires the transfusionist to scan the
barcode at the patient's bedside before a transfusion can occur.
The FinalCheck® Blood Band Recipient Verification System helps ensure safe blood
transfusions with an easy-to-use mechanical barrier. The barrier can only be opened when the correct code is
entered. The FinalCheck Recipient Verification System helps ensure the final bedside check is performed and
the right patient receives the right blood product.
The Typenex Medical DNR alert bands lets caregivers know that a patient has provided
end-of-life directives. When a caregiver sees the purple band, they will know to check the patient's chart
for further information.
The Typenex Medical Smearsafe™ Blood Dispenser streamlines the blood dispensing process.
The Smearsafe Blood Dispenser eliminates the need for lab workers to remove the top from the tube, reducing
the chance of spills and contamination.
While every facility has a process for cleaning fluid on the operating room floor, Typenex
Medical has an absorbent product that helps achieve a clean and dry working environment. Our Absorbent Floor
